OC4BAv4 does not work in modules P3Dv3.3[SOLVED]

Post by veelo »

Hi Roark,

I have a problem with activating OC4BAv4 in the addons of P3Dv3.3. If I click on Add-ons I do see OC4BAv4 but if I click on it nothing happens. And btw I do see the splash screen when P3Dv3.3 starts up. Tried to look for a solution in the documentation but as far I can see I have done everything correctly or...?

Kind regards,
Pieter

Test to see if it works OK when starting OC4BAv4.exe from your SIOC folder.

If OK, then you either have installed OC4Bv4 incorrectly or NOT having your SIOC folder next to you P3D main folder.

See OC4BAv4 documentation.

If Not OK, check that you have all the neccessary Microsoft redistributables installed. See MUST READ file.

If still problem, PM me and I can set up A TeamViewer connection to have a look.

Dear Roark,

Have done everything. SIOCv5 is on the same drive as P3Dv3.3. Microsoft redistributables installed, but no succes. But for all I'm happy to start OC4ABv4 from my desktop. It works
Kind regards

What is your P3D path and SIOC path?

What is the path in the OC4BA_path.ini in the C:

What is the text in your exe.xml file in Users\$USER$\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepared v3 ?

Hi Roark,

P3Dv3.3 = D:\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3dv3.3
SIOC = D:\SIOCv5

ex.xml:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?>
<SimBase.Document Type="Launch" version="1,0" id="exe">
<Descr>Launch</Descr>
<Filename>exe.xml</Filename>
<Launch.Addon>
<Name>Couatl</Name>
<Path>fsdreamteam\couatl\couatl.exe</Path>
</Launch.Addon>
<Launch.Addon>
</Launch.Addon>
<Launch.Addon>
<Name>as_btstrp_config_manager</Name>
<Path>as_srv\as_btstrp_config_manager.exe</Path>
</Launch.Addon>
<Launch.Addon>
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
<Name>UT2</Name>
<Path>D:\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3Dv3.3\Flight One Software\Ultimate Traffic 2\UT2Services.exe</Path>
<NewConsole>True</NewConsole>
</Launch.Addon>
<Launch.Addon>
<Name>OC4BAv4</Name>
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<Path>D:\SIOCv5\OC4BA_Menu.exe</Path>
</Launch.Addon>
</SimBase.Document>

Didn't you read the MUST READ OC4BAv4?

4) In order to have the OC4BAv4 working from the flightsim's Add-on menu, your SIOC folder MUST be under the same parent folder as your flightsim folder.
Example: C:\FSX then your SIOC folder path should be C:\SIOC

The path to SIOCv5 should be D:\Lockheed Martin\SIOCv5.

Just uninstall OC4BAv4 and SIOC.

Delete the

<Launch.Addon>
<Name>OC4BAv4</Name>
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<Path>D:\SIOCv5\OC4BA_Menu.exe</Path>
</Launch.Addon>

in the exe.xml file.

Then reinstall SIOC to D:\Lockheed Martin, so the path becomes D:\Lockheed Martin\SIOCv5.

Then install OC4BAv4 to SIOCv5.

Sometrhing is wrong with your setup.

Try to rename your folder to SIOC not SSIOCv5
and
in exe.xml
change the path
to
D:\SIOC\OC4BA_Menu.exe
